THE BOTHY SOCIETY

MANAGEMENT

We work across contemporary Scottish Traditional music to guide and oversee the careers and development of HEISK, Valtos, Evie Waddell, Ross Whyte & Alasdair Whyte. As managers, we deal with strategy & artistic development, career planning, scheduling, team & financial management, etc.

RECORD LABEL

Across Scottish Traditional and Folk music we have released EPs, albums and books from a variety of incredible artists and projects, including Findlay Napier, Evie Waddell, Man of the Minch, Eabhal, HEISK Alasdair Whyte and Ross Whyte.

In 2024, we launched our new music publishing division. We administer the composition rights of Andrew O’Donnell (Beluga Lagoon). We are looking to work with various other writers and composers across the Traditional and Folk music genres, bringing more creative and financial opportunities to writers in Scotland and the Scottish music industry.

PUBLISHING

SYNC

In 2023, we launched our synchronisation division, working with a variety of artists and composers in Celtic Music to pitch a varied catalogue (Scottish, Irish & Welsh) of songs and recordings across film, TV, trailers, games and advertising - extending the reach of the genre and bringing in more money for the the artists and composers we working with and the overall Scottish economy.

PROJECT MGMT

We regularly help out Scottish artists with funding applications or project management of release campaigns. We worked with DlĂ¹ on their most recent album campaign from initial strategy and funding application through to guidance and advice through registrations, manufacture and marketing.

ALBUM BOOKS FROM THE BOTHY SOCIETY

  • The Album Books are a new way to experience music, combining elements of liner notes, tune books, and coffee table books to create a tangible, immersive connection between artists and audiences. These books offer not just lyrics and credits but storytelling, behind-the-scenes insights, and photography that brings the album to life. Our books comes with a free app that allows you to access augmented reality content directly from the images.

  • Each book includes augmented reality content with readers being able to download The Fire Side AR Companion App, allowing readers to scan images and access exclusive content such as videos, photo albums, notebook scans, artist commentary, 3D models and much more.

  • Created to acknowledge changing music consumption habits, our Album Books preserve the storytelling of the album format. They encourage active listening by offering a more immersive experience—whether through streaming, downloads, CDs or vinyl – they take you through the creative process behind the music—bridging the gap between physical and digital engagement.

  • Yes! When you buy the books you can choose to get a CD or download with it, or a ‘book only’ option. You can listen to the album on all the usual streaming platforms too. Just make your choice when checking out.
